Amazon Prime Video to Produce Newcastle United Documentary

Amazon Prime Video has announced that it will be producing a new sports documentary focused on the English football club, Newcastle United. The series will be produced in collaboration with Lorton Entertainment and 72 Films, the team behind Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story.

Unlike its previous All or Nothing series which have followed teams such as Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham, this untitled series will explore the Saudi-owned club of Newcastle United. The show is expected to provide an insight into one of England's most historic clubs and their journey under new ownership.

At present, no further details regarding the release date or format of the documentary have been revealed by Amazon Prime Video. However, fans are already excited about what promises to be an insightful look at one of English football’s biggest names.

The confirmation from Amazon Prime Video follows recent reports that fellow streaming giant Netflix is also planning a docuseries on Juventus FC for 2021.

As more streaming platforms continue to expand their content offerings into sports documentaries, it remains to be seen what other teams may receive similar treatment in the future.
