Body Found in Water at San Francisco's Pier 39, Police Say

San Francisco police have reported that a body was discovered in the water at Pier 39 on Wednesday. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.

The discovery was made by a group of tourists who were walking along the pier. They immediately notified authorities, who arrived on the scene shortly after.

According to witnesses, there appeared to be no signs of foul play and it is believed that the individual may have accidentally fallen into the water.

The investigation is ongoing and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. At this time, police are not releasing any further information until next-of-kin have been notified.

Pier 39 is a popular tourist attraction known for its restaurants, shops and sea lion colony. It attracts millions of visitors each year from all over the world. The incident has caused shockwaves throughout both locals and tourists alike as they come to terms with what has happened.
