England's national football team has started their Euro qualifiers journey with a stunning victory against the titleholders, Italy. In a rematch of the last final of the Euro Cup, played on Italy’s home ground, England emerged victorious with a scoreline of 2-0.

This is the first time since 1961 that England has defeated Italy in an international match. Harry Kane led his side to victory by becoming the top scorer for his national team.

The English squad began their match with great speed and an aggressive approach that kept their opponents on edge throughout. They entered halftime with a comfortable lead of 2-0 thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling and John Stones.

Italy tried to make a comeback in the second half but failed to find any gaps in England's defense which was rock-solid throughout the game.

After securing this crucial win, Gareth Southgate’s men have now set themselves up nicely for qualification into next year's European Championships. This victory will also serve as an immense confidence boost ahead of their upcoming matches against other tough contenders like Spain and Germany.

In post-match interviews, Harry Kane expressed his delight at becoming his nation's top scorer and praised his teammates' efforts for putting up such an impressive performance against one of Europe's strongest teams.

Overall, this was a memorable night for English football fans who witnessed their team put on an exceptional display and secure a historic win against one of Europe’s best sides – Italy.
