Sandusky, Ohio - The highly-anticipated reopening of Cedar Point amusement park is finally here. On May 6, the park officially opened its gates to visitors for the 2023 season with exciting new additions.

The biggest news this year is the unveiling of a brand-new rollercoaster that promises to be thrilling and exhilarating. Named "The Daredevil," it's said to be one of the tallest and fastest coasters in the world. Riders will experience speeds over 100 miles per hour while twisting and turning through loops, corkscrews, and inversions.

In addition to The Daredevil rollercoaster, Cedar Point has also upgraded its Grand Pavilion area with new amenities such as expanded seating areas and a state-of-the-art sound system for live performances.

Another exciting change this year is a new boardwalk that offers stunning views of Lake Erie. Visitors can stroll along the boardwalk while enjoying traditional carnival games and food stands or take in sunset views from an observation deck overlooking Lake Erie.

Cedar Point's General Manager John Hildebrandt expressed his excitement about these changes: "We're thrilled to welcome back our guests after an unprecedented year. With these new attractions and upgrades at Cedar Point, we're confident visitors will have an unforgettable experience."

Visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance as capacity limits may apply due to ongoing safety protocols amid COVID-19 concerns.

With so many thrilling rides and attractions on offer at Cedar Point this year, there’s no better time than now to plan your visit!
