A teenager who was accused of a double shooting in Vanderburgh County has been arrested and arraigned from the hospital.

According to the authorities, the 17-year-old suspect shot two individuals on Monday night near Diamond Avenue and Kratzville Road. The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

After an extensive search, law enforcement officers found the teen suspect at a local hospital where he was receiving treatment for unspecified injuries. The authorities took him into custody on Tuesday morning.

The teen was arraigned from his hospital bed due to his medical condition. He faced multiple charges including attempted murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

The prosecutor's office requested that the court set bail for $500,000 cash-only due to the severity of his crimes. However, no decision has been made yet regarding his bail amount or upcoming court dates.

The identities and current conditions of both victims have not been disclosed by law enforcement officials.

This is an ongoing investigation and more details will be provided as they become available.
