School lunches are getting a much-needed makeover in Moorhead Area Public Schools. The district has introduced new menus featuring more fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Students will also have access to salad bars and other healthy options.
"We want our students to have access to nutritious food that fuels their bodies and minds," said Superintendent Brandon Lunak.
Train commuters faced delays this morning due to a broken rail near Dilworth. Buses were brought in as a temporary solution while crews worked on repairing the rail.
"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers," said Amtrak spokesperson Jane Smith.
Non-profit organizations with tax exempt status are under scrutiny after reports of misuse of funds surfaced. The IRS is urging non-profits to review their financial records and ensure they are using their resources for charitable purposes only.

"While one death is still too many, we are encouraged to see a decrease in overall fatalities," said Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm.
