Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, has taken to Twitter to congratulate the entire Polygon community after the network successfully launched the long-awaited Polygon zkEVM Mainnet Beta. The launch was marked by Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum, carrying out the first-ever transaction on the network and leaving a notable message.
The new technology behind Polygon's zkEVM (zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine) upgrade allows for faster and cheaper transactions while maintaining security measures in place. It is seen as a significant step forward for decentralized finance (DeFi) applications built on top of Ethereum.
In his tweet, Hoskinson praised both Vitalik Buterin and Polygon for their contributions to advancing blockchain technology. He also expressed his excitement for what this means for future advancements in DeFi:
"Congratulations @VitalikButerin and congratulations to everyone at @0xPolygon! This is great news indeed. We are excited about what this means for improving #DeFi infrastructure."
This announcement marks yet another positive development within crypto space as more companies continue to push innovation forward through collaboration and cooperation with one another.
As always, it will be interesting to see how these developments impact Cardano's own plans going forward as well. However, it seems clear that there is much cause for optimism among those invested in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology alike.
