In a historic turn of events, the NCAA women's Final Four will feature none of the sport's most decorated programs for the first time since 1985. The semifinals are set to showcase both fresh faces and defending champs, promising an exciting lineup.

South Carolina coach Dawn Staley expressed her excitement about the new history that they are venturing into. "It's great to see teams on this stage who have worked hard to get here," she said.

The four teams that made it to the semifinals include Arizona, Stanford, UConn, and South Carolina. Arizona is making their first-ever appearance in the Final Four after defeating Indiana in a thrilling game. Meanwhile, Stanford advanced by beating Louisville in yet another close match up.

UConn remains one of the favorites to win it all as they make their 13th consecutive appearance in the tournament’s semi-finals. They have already won 11 National Championships under Coach Geno Auriemma’s leadership.

South Carolina will be looking to defend its title as they enter this year’s competition with an impressive record of 26-4. Led by senior guard Destanni Henderson and sophomore forward Aliyah Boston, South Carolina is expected to put up a good fight against their contenders.

With none of women basketball’s traditional powerhouses competing this year for a spot in finals there is no clear favorite team among these final four competitors which makes way for some exciting games ahead!

The stage is now set for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend filled with high-stakes basketball action!
