West Fargo's very own powerlifting champion, Jason Ehlert, is set to showcase his strength and skills at the World Powerlifting Organization’s 2023 men's semifinal. The competition will take place on April 1 in Lombard, Illinois.

Ehlert has been a force to be reckoned with in the local powerlifting scene for several years now. He has won numerous regional competitions and has set multiple records along the way. His impressive feats of strength have earned him a dedicated following of fans who are eager to see what he can do on a global stage.

The upcoming semifinals will feature some of the strongest athletes from around the world. Ehlert will be competing against other elite powerlifters who have also earned their spot in this prestigious event through their exceptional performances.

Despite facing tough competition, Ehlert remains confident that he can hold his own and come out on top. He shared his thoughts about the upcoming competition saying: "I am excited for this opportunity to compete against some of the best lifters from around the world. I have been training hard for months and I am ready to give it my all."

As per WPO rules, competitors are judged based on three main lifts - squat, bench press and deadlifts - with each competitor having three attempts at each lift. The winner is determined by adding up their highest successful attempt from each category.

Ehlert's family and friends are rooting for him as he represents West Fargo on an international level. They believe that he has what it takes to make it all the way to the finals which will take place later this year.

We wish Jason Ehlert good luck as he prepares himself mentally and physically for this big event!
