West Fargo powerlifter, Jason Ehlert, is set to represent the United States in the World Powerlifting Organization's 2023 men's semifinal. The event will be held on April 1 at Lombard, Illinois.

Ehlert has been a prominent figure in North Dakota’s powerlifting scene for several years and has won numerous state competitions. In 2022, he placed first in his weight class at the North Dakota State Championships and earned an invitation to participate in the world semifinal.

The World Powerlifting Organization is one of the most prestigious organizations for competitive powerlifters around the world. The competition consists of three events: squat, bench press, and deadlifts.

"I'm excited to compete against some of the best lifters from all over the world," said Ehlert. "I've been training hard for this moment and I'm ready to give it my all."

According to sources close to Ehlert, he has been following a rigorous training regimen that includes six days of training per week with a focus on strength-building exercises such as squats and deadlifts.

Ehlert hopes that his performance at this year’s competition will catapult him into becoming one of America’s top powerlifters.

"I want people back home in West Fargo know that anything is possible if you put your mind into it." said Ehlert. "I hope my success can inspire others who are looking for motivation.”

We wish Jason Ehlert all the best as he represents not only himself but also his town and country on an international stage!
