TikTok Data Center Under Fire From Ammo Maker For Sucking Up Electricity: 'Our Future Growth Challenged By Storage Of Cat Videos'

TikTok Data Center Under Fire From Ammo Maker For Sucking Up Electricity: 'Our Future Growth Challenged By Storage Of Cat Videos'

TikTok, the popular social media platform, is facing backlash from an unlikely source. An ammo maker has accused the company of consuming too much electricity at its data center, hindering their future growth.

In a statement released yesterday, the ammo maker complained that they were unable to expand their operations due to lack of available power in the area. They blamed TikTok's data center for sucking up too much electricity and claimed that it was being wasted on storing cat videos.

"Our future growth is being challenged by the storage of cat videos," said the spokesperson for the ammo maker. "While we are struggling to get enough power to run our operations smoothly, TikTok's data center is consuming more than its fair share."

The accusation has drawn attention from both sides with many questioning why an ammo maker and a social media platform are even connected in this way.

This controversy comes amid growing concerns about energy consumption by tech giants like Facebook and Google. However, this is one of the first times that such accusations have come from a completely unrelated industry.

TikTok has not yet responded to these allegations but it remains to be seen if they will take any action regarding their energy consumption practices.
