Reps. Massie and Bowman Get Into Heated Argument Over Gun Violence

Reps. Massie and Bowman Get Into Heated Argument Over Gun Violence

In a recent congressional hearing, Representatives Thomas Massie and Jamaal Bowman engaged in a heated argument over gun violence in schools. The exchange occurred when Massie asked Bowman to co-sponsor his bill, which would eliminate the federal ban on guns in school zones.

Bowman, who is a former teacher, responded by questioning whether or not Massie had ever worked in a school before. This caused Massie to become visibly agitated and the two began shouting at each other.

"Children are dying!" Bowman exclaimed as he pointed his finger at Massie. "We can't just let anyone carry guns into our schools."

Massie argued that eliminating the ban would actually make schools safer because it would allow teachers and administrators with concealed carry permits to defend themselves and their students against potential threats.

The argument continued for several minutes until the committee chair intervened and called for order. Despite their differences on this issue, both representatives acknowledged that something needs to be done to address gun violence in America's schools.

As of now, it remains unclear whether or not Bowman will co-sponsor Massie's bill. However, this exchange highlights the ongoing debate surrounding gun control laws and how best to keep our children safe while they attend school.
