The CW's hit show, Riverdale, has returned for its seventh and final season. Fans were left on the edge of their seats after the characters were unexpectedly transported back in time to the 1950s in the Season 6 finale. The show's creator and executive producer, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, recently gave some hints about what viewers can expect from this new era.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Aguirre-Sacasa teased that Riverdale's characters will be facing off against "society itself" in this final installment. He explained that he wanted to explore how society has changed since the '50s and how it still affects us today.

"It felt like a perfect way to wrap up all of our stories," said Aguirre-Sacasa. "To see our characters confronted with something as big as society itself was really exciting."

While Riverdale is known for its dark and twisted plotlines, Aguirre-Sacasa revealed that this season will also have some lighter moments. He promised fans that they would get to see their favorite characters having fun and enjoying themselves despite the challenges they face.
