Brown-Forman, a global spirits company based in Louisville, has announced that its CEO Lawson Whiting has been named to the list of World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere. This recognition is considered a prestigious honor and is given to companies that demonstrate outstanding ethical practices and corporate social responsibility.

Whiting has been in the main leadership role at Brown-Forman since 2018 and on its executive team since 2013. He has led the company towards diversifying its brand portfolio with strategic acquisitions like Gin Mare for approximately $500 million in September and Diplomático Rum in January 2023.

Under his leadership, Brown-Forman continues to be recognized for its commitment to sustainability, employee well-being, diversity and inclusion initiatives. The company was recently ranked among Forbes’ Best Employers for Diversity 2022.

In addition to this achievement, the Brown-forman Foundation made a significant investment in West Louisville announcing it would invest $50 million over a 10-year commitment to be given to five organizations. This marks their largest investment since their formation in 2018.

Whiting expressed his gratitude towards being recognized as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies stating "At Brown-Forman we believe our values are foundational to who we are as an organization… We remain committed not just now but always."

The recognition from Ethisphere highlights Whiting's continued efforts towards leading with integrity while driving growth through innovation at Brown-Forman.
