Louisville-based global spirits company Brown-Forman announced that its CEO, Lawson Whiting has been named to the list of World's Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere. The recognition is awarded to companies who demonstrate a commitment to ethics and corporate social responsibility.

Whiting has been in the main leadership role at Brown-Forman since 2018 and on the executive team since 2013. Under his leadership, the company has continued to diversify its brand portfolio by acquiring Gin Mare for approximately $500 million in September and Diplomático Rum in January 2023.

"We are delighted with this recognition from Ethisphere. It reflects our ongoing commitment to ethical business practices across all aspects of our operations," said Whiting.

Brown-forman Foundation made an announcement regarding its largest investment since its formation in 2018. The foundation stated it would invest $50 million in West Louisville over a ten-year period given out among five organizations. This move showcases their efforts towards community development initiatives that focus on improving equity throughout Western Louisville.
