A recently leaked recording of a conversation between the local sheriff and several McCurtain County commissioners has exposed their discussion on hiring hitmen to murder local newspaper reporters. In the recording, the sheriff is heard threatening to kill them if they decided to follow through with that plan.

As a result of these revelations, the sheriff's office is now investigating the reporters for recording this conversation in violation of open meetings laws. The law enforcement agency has reportedly made threats of violence, including death threats against county employees and officials as well as their families and friends.

The paper plans to release more recordings along with articles on Thursday. Local resident Madison Peavy has urged authorities to investigate other cases involving her missing father and mysterious death of her friend.

Gov. Kevin Stitt (R-OK) called for multiple resignations among McCurtain County officials, including the sheriff himself after hearing inappropriate comments about lynching black people and plotting murder against two journalists - Chris Willingham and his son Bruce Willingham.

The FBI is currently investigating both the sheriff’s involvement as well as other county officials implicated in these troubling conversations. During one part of this recorded exchange, participants were discussing hiring two or three hit men specifically targeting Chris Willingham and his son Bruce.

Governor Stitt ordered an investigation by Oklahoma State Bureau into any illegal conduct that might have occurred during these discussions or related activities involving public servants within Mc Curtain County leadership roles.

Bruce Willingham turned over all audio evidence from their investigative reporting efforts directly to federal law enforcement agencies like FBI alongside state-level representatives from Oklahoma Attorney General's Office enabling legal scrutiny at highest appropriate levels concerning alleged misconduct by influential community figures holding positions power entrusted them electorate which they serve faithfully without regard undue influence corruption so help us God amen
