Executives of the Year 2023: Celebrating Top Leaders in Portland's Business Community

The Portland Business Journal has announced its list of Executives of the Year for 2023, recognizing outstanding leaders who have made significant contributions to their respective industries and communities. Among the honorees are Jessica Getman of Brown & Brown, Britt Carlson Oase of Special Olympics, Jared Short of Cambia Health Solutions, and Michael Northover of Portland Community.

Jessica Getman serves as an executive at Brown & Brown Insurance, one of the leading independent insurance intermediaries in the United States. Her leadership skills have guided her team through numerous challenges while maintaining a strong commitment to client service excellence. In recognition of her efforts, Getman was awarded Executive of the Year by Portland Business Journal.

Robin Baker from George Fox University offered praise for Getman's work style saying that "two traits define my work more than any other — context and competition." This statement highlights how Getman’s dedication combines with a deep understanding to drive success within her company.
