Dayanara Caballero of Byron Bergen Junior-Senior High School has been named one of the 2023 Diversity and Inclusion All-Stars. She has actively participated in various initiatives aimed at fostering an inclusive atmosphere within her school community.

"I am honored to be recognized for my efforts," said Dayanara Caballero. "I believe it's important to create a space where everyone feels welcomed."

Kelechi Ezenwa from Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart is also among the honorees on this prestigious list. A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Kelechi has worked tirelessly to promote understanding across cultural lines.

"It's vital that we embrace our differences," remarked Kelechi Ezenwa. "By doing so, we can learn from each other's experiences and grow together."

In addition to celebrating these outstanding students' contributions towards diversity and inclusion, Buffalo Business First acknowledged several Wellness All-Star recipients who are dedicated to promoting mental wellness in their respective schools.

Emma Hoffer was selected as a Wellness All-Star representing Newfane High School due to her active involvement in peer support programs that aim at nurturing emotional resilience among fellow students.

"Supporting others through tough times is essential," stated Emma Hoffer. "It not only helps them but strengthens our entire community."

Keyonna Hamilton from Charles D'Amico High School earned recognition as another inspiring figure within the realm of diversity and inclusion by demonstrating unwavering dedication towards building bridges between different cultural backgrounds at her institution.

Nicholas Brokx joins his peers on this distinguished roster after being designated a Wellness All-Star from St. Francis High School. He has been instrumental in increasing awareness around mental health and advocating for a holistic approach to well-being.

"It's essential that we prioritize our mental wellness," commented Nicholas Brokx, "and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute positively toward this goal."
