The Argentine national team faced off against Panama in a friendly match on Thursday and emerged victorious with a score of 2-0. The match was celebrated by thousands of Argentine fans who had travelled to be there.

Thiago Almada and Lionel Messi were the stars of the show, scoring the two goals that sealed the win for their team. It was a great moment for Messi, who has been leading his country to victory since their triumph in last year's World Cup.

The atmosphere at Estadio Rommel Fernandez in Panama City was electric as both teams took to the pitch. But it was clear from early on that Argentina were in control, dominating possession and creating numerous chances.

Almada opened the scoring just before half-time with a well-placed shot that beat Panama's goalkeeper. The goal gave Argentina momentum going into the second half, where they continued to press forward.

Messi then scored his goal midway through the second half after receiving a pass from teammate Paulo Dybala. The Barcelona star calmly placed his shot into the bottom corner of the net, sending Argentine fans into raptures.

Afterwards, coach Lionel Scaloni praised his players' performance: "I am very happy with what I saw today. We played some excellent football and deserved our win."

For Argentine fans who had made the journey to Panama City, it was an unforgettable experience. Many said they had come simply to celebrate last year's World Cup win with their team.

With this victory over Panama under their belt, Argentina can now focus on preparing for next year's Copa America tournament – where they will be looking to defend their title once again.
