Free-Agent Lineman Calais Campbell to Meet with Jets and Bills Next Week

The New York Jets and Buffalo Bills are both interested in signing free-agent lineman Calais Campbell, who is a six-time Pro Bowler. Campbell recently spent three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.

According to sources close to the situation, Campbell plans to meet with representatives from both teams next week. It remains unclear which team has the upper hand in negotiations or what kind of contract is being discussed.

Campbell has been one of the most consistent players in the league over his 13-year career. He's known for his versatility on defense, having played both defensive end and defensive tackle throughout his career.

Last season, he recorded four sacks and six tackles for loss while playing primarily at defensive end. Despite being 34 years old, he remains one of the top free agents available this offseason.

The Jets and Bills will likely have some tough competition if they hope to sign Campbell. The veteran pass rusher has drawn interest from several other teams around the league as well.

Nevertheless, both organizations are hopeful that they can convince him to join their respective rosters for next season. Only time will tell where exactly Campbell lands as he continues his NFL journey.
