Donald Trump Demands Manhattan DA be Indicted for 'Illegally Leaking' Charges

Former President Donald Trump has called for the immediate indictment of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who is charged with 34 felonies. According to a Yahoo News report, the ex-president will also be charged with 34 felony counts for falsification of business records.

Trump reacted angrily to the news and demanded that Bragg should be prosecuted over what he claims were illegal leaks tied to his indictment over alleged “hush money” payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels. He also accused Michael Isikoff, a reporter at Yahoo News who broke the story, of being involved in an illegal leak and called on him to be punished.

The former president posted on his social media account Truth Social that Bragg's actions were dishonorable and as District Attorney; he should face charges himself.

Sources close to Trump say that he is holed up in his namesake Midtown tower until Tuesday afternoon when he will surrender himself into law enforcement custody. The indictment against him was handed up by a grand jury investigating hush money payments made during the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election.

Although falsification of business records is normally prosecuted as a misdemeanor in New York State, Bragg's office upgraded all charges against Trump to Class E felonies on grounds that they were intended to conceal another underlying crime. However, evidence for the underlying crime remains unclear until Tuesday when official details are released after unsealing indictments.

Meanwhile, there have been no comments from either Isikoff or Alvin Bragg regarding allegations leveled against them by Donald Trump.
