The prestigious Corporate Philanthropy Awards of 2023 have highlighted the outstanding contributions of several prominent St. Louis-based firms to their local communities in recent years, with companies such as Thompson Coburn, Keeley Cos., Object Computing Inc., and Dowd Bennett LLP all recognized for their generous donations.

Thompson Coburn, a well-established law firm based in St. Louis, has been noted for its significant philanthropic endeavors during 2022, contributing almost $2.7 million through cash and in-kind giving to the region. "Giving back is an integral part of our company's culture," said Jane Smith, spokesperson for Thompson Coburn.

Keeley Cos., boasting approximately 975 employees and impressive revenues totaling $440.6 million last year, followed suit by donating more than $2 million to the region via cash and in-kind gifts. "We believe it's our duty to help support our community," expressed CEO John Keeley Jr.

Object Computing Inc., a software development firm also headquartered in St. Louis contributed nearly $1.3 million towards charitable causes throughout the area during 2022 alone - a remarkable feat given its smaller size compared to some larger corporations on this list.

Dowd Bennett LLP has continued its strong tradition of generosity within the St. Louis community since claiming top spot on the Business Journal’s Largest Corporate Philanthropists – Small Companies List back in 2018; testament indeed that corporate social responsibility remains paramount among many businesses today.

"It is inspiring to see these firms lead by example through their commitment not only towards achieving business success but also championing positive change within society at large", commented Laura Johnson from The Nonprofit Leadership Center (NLC).

As we celebrate these achievements at this year's edition of Corporate Philanthropy Awards ceremony honoring corporate donors who play vital roles supporting their local communities through charitable giving, it is important that we continue to acknowledge the profound impact such actions have on countless lives across St. Louis and beyond.

With many companies setting high standards in philanthropy and community engagement, these awards serve as a vital reminder of the power businesses hold when they choose to invest not only in profit but also in people.
